Stormshield Lite Range

Our lightweight, outdoor fabric

Ideal for frequent outdoor storage, this lightweight cover is 100% waterproof and breathable. The excellent breathability of the Storm Shield fabric means the cover can be put on a wet bike and the remaining moisture will permeate through the cover. The 100% waterproof protection ensures that your bike is never exposed to the elements, even in harsh weather conditions.

Many manufacturers can make a waterproof cover for your bike, but breathability is crucial. Moisture rising from the ground will get trapped under the cover. If the moisture is unable to escape it can damage paintwork, rot seals and accommodate mould. The technology behind our Storm Shield fabric allows moisture to escape from the surface of your bike, keeping it dry.

How our Storm Shield fabric works...

The fabric is made up of 3 seperate layers and heat laminated together to form a single protective barrier. The Moisture Vapour Permeable (MVP) Membrane prevents water from penetrating through, yet allows trapped moisture to evaporate out from under the cover.

Breathable

Specialised Covers’ fabrics have been developed to incorporate the latest protective technology. Our Stormshield bike covers are both 100% waterproof and breathable, this allows any trapped moisture to permeate through the cover, preventing the formation of mould and reducing the risk of rusting or corrosion. UV Protected Fabric

Sunlight will fade fabric making it look tired and worn. Thankfully, Specialised Covers’ outdoor fabrics have been treated with UV inhibitors to help repel harmful UV rays, preserving both the appearance and performance of your cover. Soft

Our Stormshield fabric has been developed with a soft, non-abrasive backing that has been specifically designed to be gentle to paint and bodywork. Our Quality Assurance team check every cover before it leaves our facility, ensuring that our high standards are maintained.

Frost Protection

If your bike is left exposed to the elements it may fall victim to freeze thaw weathering. Any water left to seep between body panels will expand when it freezes and contract when it melts. Over the years this fluctuation can loosen the panels and eventually result in leaking. Specialised Covers’ Stormshield fabric is 100% waterproof and prevents water from reaching vulnerable body panels.

Scratch Prevention

There is nothing more alarming than finding a nick in the paintwork of your pride and joy. A tailored cover provides your bike with a second skin, so an accidental scrape from a passing toolbox doesn’t have to mean a trip to the body shop.

Tree Sap Resistant

Tree sap can be very difficult to remove once dry and attempting to remove hardened tree sap can result in unwanted damage to bodywork. Our tailored cover provides a second skin for your bike that will not allow tree sap to penetrate through to your bike’s bodywork.

Shield from Bird Droppings

Bird droppings can be hard to remove and the acidity of the droppings can corrode paintwork and ultimately tarnish you bike’s appearance. A tailored cover will prevent bird droppings from making contact with your bike, sustaining its appearance and making the task of cleaning less arduous. The cover can be cleaned using mild surfactants.

Securing The Bike Cover

Our covers are anchored to the bike by high strength webbing straps and buckles. The female buckles are sewn into pockets on one side of the cover, while the male buckles are attached to straps that run under the bike. Each cover comes with an eyelet so that the cover can be padlocked.
