Tailored Caravan Towing Protector

Custom Made Towing Covers for Individual Caravans

The Specialised Covers Tailored Towing Protector is uniquely designed to fit specific makes and models of caravan. Our Tailored Towing Protector attaches to the front of your caravan, keeping it clean and guarding it from being damaged by stone chips and other road debris. Only a Specialised Covers Tailored Towing Protector is made from Tempest, our unique fabric with a reinforced fleecy backing. No other front cover on the market offers this level of protection from impact damage.

As each protective cover has been custom designed to the model of caravan, we are able to incorporate clear windows into the cover so the front marker lights are clearly visible. These towing covers also have accessible flaps for the caravan's grab handles. This added convenience allows you to use the grab handles with the cover still attached.

The Tailored Towing Covers are predominately secured with the use of industrial suction units on the off side of the Caravan. These must be attached to a clean and dry surfaces with even pressure applied across the unit. Each unit can lift a maximum weight of 20kg and there are three on each cover. Specialised Covers cannot accept any liability for damage caused due to units being fitted incorrectly. Please ensure before travelling that all three suction units are fitted securely. The Towing cover has been designed for use when in transit and is not to be used as a long term storage solution or to be left on whislt the caravan is unattended. Road Dirt Protection

Nobody wants to turn up on site with a caravan splattered with mud. A tailored Towing Protector will shield your caravan from dirt sprayed out by your tow car, leaving you with a clean van upon arrival at your destination.

Stone Chip Protection

Each time you tow, your caravan’s bodywork and windows are at risk of being chipped and dented by loose stones; this problem is exacerbated when travelling at high speeds. A Specialised Covers’ Towing Protector shields your caravan from projectiles, preserving its condition and sustaining its resale value. This is especially pertinent for caravans with aluminium body panels.

Innovative Fitting

We use industrial Suction Units and the Caravan's Awning Rail to fasten the cover to the van. Their versatility and quality means they offer themselves as a perfect fitting solution for the Tailored Towing Protector. The ‘Suckers’ are easy to fit, durable, strong and perform everytime. Upon pushing the Sucker to the side of the Caravan and then manually turning a key, a vacuum is created between the base of the product and any non-porous, smooth surface, to which the product is being applied.

Prevents Insect Staining

On a lengthy journey your caravan can become pebble dashed with insect residue. You could clean these when you arrive at your destination, although usually they will have hardened and removing them can be difficult. A towing protector keeps the front of your caravan insect free.

Visible Front Lights

Although our Torrent fabric will allow light to shine through on our Towing Protectors, our tailored Towing Protectors include clear windows so the front marker lights are clearly visible.

100% Waterproof Guarantee

When towing at high speeds the pressure from motorway spray is intensified, so you need a fabric that can prevent water penetration under these conditions. Our tailored Towing Protectors are made from our 100% waterproof and breathable Tempest fabric. Like Torrent, this fabric can withstand two meters of water pressure without allowing moisture to penetrate.

Breathable

It has long been a misconception that a waterproof cover is incapable of being breathable and as a consequence caravanners are often wrongly advised to buy a water resistant product. Specialised Covers’ Torrent fabric has been specifically developed to offer 100% waterproof protection with sufficient breathability. Protection from Road Oil

The oil in road film is denser than water, so removing it can be a challenge. A Specialised Covers’ Towing Protector will prevent these substances from ever reaching your caravan. When you arrive at your destination, simply shake the cover to discard any remaining beads of residue.

Protect from Exhaust Fumes

Although the cover cannot repel carbon monoxide, it will prevent filthy exhaust debris from staining your caravan. This feature is particularly pertinent for those with older tow cars.

UV Protected Fabric

Sunlight will fade fabric making it look tired and worn. Thankfully, Specialised Covers’ Torrent and Tempest fabrics have been treated with UV inhibitors to help repel harmful UV rays, preserving both the appearance and performance of your cover. In the unlikely event you should encounter a problem with your cover, simply contact our sales team. We will arrange for the cover to be collected for inspection and repair. Any cover deemed irreparable within 12 months of purchase will be replaced without dispute.
