Emma Burton has revealed her unique car cover designs for the Art Cover project.

Burton has applied a multidirectional print to her custom illustrations. The result is not only an aesthetically pleasing and well balanced design, but a theme of its own; in essence Emma Burton is creating customised car pyjamas!

"I like the notion of creating a truly bespoke cover. I achieve this by personalising the colour, car design and registration plate, tailoring each one specifically for a different client.

She added: "They get a truly unique piece of artwork, drawn, designed and handmade especially for them."

Specialised's Creative Director, Katie Fishwick said that the concept was on brief and perfectly aligned to the Specialised Covers' brand.

Amy Bell is working on a floral design for the Art Cover project.

Naturally, Bell's reference imagery centered around flowers and blooms, but her intention is to create an abstract design.

"I want to create a car cover from floral drawings with mixed media, collage and textures from print to produce abstract designs. I don't necessarily want the floral to be identified through sight but I want the imagery to be the base to abstract."

"I am currently working mono chrome which I feel emphasises the contrast of the shape and line created through collage."

Bell worked with the development of her concepts into a repeat pattern. Bell admitted that it would have been easy to work colour into the design, but said that this would be tailored to the individual customer.

Sophie Crawshay has revealed her custom car cover design.

Crawshay's final design is far more abstract than her original concept. The design still echoes her inspiration of Henri Matisse, but Crawshay has her own, unique style that makes her design really quite refreshing.

Stephanie-Rose Turner has approached the Art Cover project from a refreshing perspective. Her design draws inspiration from a number of different sources.

First, Turner looked at natural forms, creating delicately crafted sketches. These illustrations offer a pleasing contrast between the cold, mechanical car and the natural flowers and plants, but Turner wanted to reconstruct the shapes and reflections seen in the car when driving at speed. Turner looked at various references to find components of movement.

This reference imagery shows Turner extracting appropriate colours for her design.

Bryony Rose has launched her car cover designs for the Art Cover project.

Bryony Rose has evolved her design from the illustrations of her reference imagery. This unique style has been created using a combination of traditional painting and modern computer software. Using oil based inks, Bryony painted an initial layer - a montage of colours that give her design depth.

Bryony scans the paintings into computer software where she overlays her illustrations. The result is an abstract style with visual impact.
