Eleanor James has taken a unique approach to the Art Cover project. After seeing the 'photorealistic' design by Maison Martin Margiela, James concluded that the commercial application for car covers wasn't being catered for and that exhibition and show reveal covers did not enhance the presentation of the car.

"The idea of shading using my dry-point technique is to highlight the creative look of the car that lies beneath the cover. It emphasizes the key features of the car and eludes to the design aesthetic in a way that photorealistic covers fail to do."

These images show the technique being used to create entire cars. See how this concept evolves, watch this space.

We will be following Eleanor James' work throughout the project.
