It’s fair to say that the original DB4GT Zagato was an elegant yet powerful racing icon. The result of this 50-year collaboration between Aston Martin and Italian design house Zagato is simply stunning. Intentionally or not, the V12 Zagato has the same balance of elegance and endearing brutality that the DB4GT Zagato became famous for.

Chris Porritt, who previously worked on the One-77, led the Aston Martin engineering team. The aluminium body houses the same 6.0litre V12 from the original car and produces 510bhp.

The V12 Zagato is based on the V12 Vantage. There will be limited numbers of the road car produced and there will be a racing edition launched at the Nurburgring in June. Expect to shell out around £200,000 to see one in your driveway.
