Car enthusiast, Chris Evans, recently acquired a new addition to his already extensive classic collection –Formula One world champion, James Hunt’s, 1974 Hesketh 308 race car. It has been rumoured that the Radio 2 DJ will hand the keys over to Hunt’s son, Freddie, so he can experience the same thrill as his father and take the car for a spin. On his Facebook page, Freddie Hunt, also a budding racer, has commented: “Great evening at the RM Auction in Monaco last night. I was invited by the event sponsors, Air Partner, because one of Dad's cars was being auctioned. It was the very first Hesketh from 1974. And I am delighted to say that it was bought by ...none other than Chris Evans who then very kindly asked me if I would like to drive it. After many years of wanting to drive one of Dad's cars with enough time to get the tyres warm and get to know the car(not just a 3 lap demo) it finally looks like it might happen! I'm a very happy man” Lets hope we here from him soon for a car cover to go with it.
