The main theme of the NEC Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show this November (from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th November if you fancy going along) is women! The ‘She’s a beauty’ theme celebrates women and recognises some famous females in the world of motoring such as the late Pat Moss, Michele Mouton and Rosemary Smith. The theme is also fitting as most people chose to give their car a female name…maybe because women are the better drivers?!? One man who maybe disproves our theory is Sir Stirling Moss OBE who is once again gracing the show to tell the tales of his world-famous Mille Miglia victory and answer all of those questions that the next generation of fans have to ask. He’s on the Live Stage at 11am so we’ll definitely be heading there to hear from him! We’ll also be checking out the Meguiar’s Club Showcase to see the best of the best from this year’s classic car scene. All finalists are on display in Hall 1 with the announcement of the overall winner on Sunday 15th – it’s a tense day for the entrants after months of scrutiny to reach this prestigious stage but for us classic car enthusiasts it’s a chance to see some amazing examples of preservation and dedication! And if you fancy buying your own classic car after seeing such fine examples all weekend, there are auctions on both Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th in Hall 2 from 12noon. Last year the two day auction sold 81% of cars allotted for a total sales value of £4.5million. Who knows what this year will bring but with a rare Range Rover convertible expected to sell for over £40,000, we’re sure last years sales will be easily beaten in 2015! Have a great time and if you are there and want to pop in and see us we are in Hall 1 on stand 45. Plus, there’s a little gift for each and every one of you as we show you how to protect and preserve your own classic car with a Specialised Cover that is made to be as individual as your pride and joy is!!
