Formula One themed garden at Chelsea Flower Show
Specialised Covers Douglas and Carole Long were invited to attend Chelsea Flower this year as Guests of Carry on Clothing after supplying the owner with a number of tailor fitted car covers.
Douglas and Carole are keen gardeners so were thrilled with the opportunity to attend this years show and were delighted to see how many cars were incorporated into the stand themes. Douglas's favorite exhibit was of course the Gold winning F1 themed garden as his real passion is F1.
The exhibit featured actual car parts, Driver Bruno Senna's helmet and had taken 3 years to cultivate.
The Williams F1 Story" by King & Co, based in Rayne, picked up the award in the Great Pavilion Awards for its collaboration with the grand prix team. The display, with a full-scale topiary F1 car and pit crew, was designed to mark the team's 35-year history.
Owner Paul King, a long-time motor racing fan said he had been a supporter of the Williams team since its early days in the late 1970s.
