The UK 360 Ride for Heroes is a motorcycle ride, which travels around the UK in a clockwise direction, travelling along most of the northern, eastern, southern and western parts of mainland Britain. The ride departed yesterday from the Royal British Legion in Birkenhead, Wirral and will continue through to Wednesday 29th August.

The purpose of the ride is to raise money for Help for Heros and The Royal British Legion, both worthwhile causes that provide both funding and support to all those who have served for Britain – whilst it’s also hoped the event will raise awareness.

The main riders, referred to as core riders have either served in, or know people who have been involved with many conflicts, such as Bosnia, Iraq, Iran, Northern Ireland, Falklands and WW2 to name a few. They’ll ride for the events entirety, stopping along the way to fundraise.

Beside those core riders, a travelling crew in a van will also support the ride, their responsibilities include, basic repairs, to provide a safe riding environment and to utilise any fund raising opportunities whilst en-route.

Here’s the route (for more information on each day click the link)

Day 1 - Wirral to Fort William

Day 2 - Fort William to Inverness

Day 3 - Inverness to Catterick Garrison

Day 4 - Catterick Garrison to Knaphill

Day 5 - Knaphill to Truro

Day 6 - Truro to Wirral

Do you want to get involved with the ride?

The ride is not only open to the core riders. Supporting riders can join for as long as they you like, whether it be a few miles, a few hours or for the whole event. You needn’t even book in advance, just simply turn up and all that’s requested is a donation – this can be by either purchasing a wristband or donate on the site or even come by one of the many fundraising events.

A great cause and we wish all riders the best.
