Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: October 2025
Our Commitment
At Specialised Covers Ltd, we are committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity. We take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.
As a proud UK manufacturer since 1981, we design and produce bespoke protective textile solutions at our Yorkshire facility. We work closely with our suppliers, partners, and customers to ensure that every stage of our production process upholds the highest standards of fairness, respect, and transparency.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Specialised Covers designs and manufactures tailor-made protective covers for vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, motorbikes, and specialist applications across automotive, aerospace, leisure, and defence sectors.
Our operations are based entirely in the UK, and the majority of our raw materials are sourced from established UK and European suppliers who share our commitment to responsible business practices.
We work only with approved suppliers who can demonstrate compliance with modern slavery and ethical trading legislation, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, ISO 9001, and Made in Britain manufacturing principles.
Our Policies
We have implemented internal policies and procedures that support our ethical standards, including:
-
Supplier Code of Conduct outlining labour standards, human rights, and environmental responsibilities.
-
Due Diligence Process for supplier approval and periodic review.
-
Whistleblowing Policy allowing employees and partners to report concerns confidentially.
-
Employee Handbook setting out equality, diversity, and ethical employment expectations.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
We assess potential risks of modern slavery in our supply chains by:
-
Conducting regular supplier audits and reviews.
-
Requiring written confirmation of compliance with modern slavery laws.
-
Prioritising local and traceable supply chains wherever possible.
-
Maintaining long-term relationships with trusted partners who demonstrate social and ethical responsibility.
Where risks are identified, we work collaboratively with suppliers to address and mitigate them. If non-compliance were ever discovered, we would take immediate corrective action, including suspension or termination of contracts.
Training and Awareness
We ensure that all employees involved in procurement, manufacturing, and management are aware of the risks of modern slavery and trained to identify and report any potential concerns.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Specialised Covers is committed to ongoing improvement in this area. We regularly review our policies, supplier relationships, and internal practices to strengthen our approach and ensure we remain compliant with legislation and best practice.
