We are seeking an ambitious, talented, and motivated individual to lead an exciting and innovative Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Shipley-based SME, Specialised Covers Limited (SCL) and Leeds Beckett University’s Business School.
This 24 month project will drive innovation in strategic management, enhancing organisational performance and enabling bespoke marketing strategies that support growth and diversification across UK and global markets, powered by digital transformation.
Supported by a comprehensive project plan, the successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, with input and guidance from an experienced multi disciplinary academic team to:
• Lead targeted internationalisation and diversification strategies using robust market intelligence to identify high value opportunities and strengthen SCL’s market footprint.
• Expand core business through strategic partnerships, leveraging SCL’s brand integrity and advanced market insight to guide strategic decisions and positioning.
• Oversee evidence led marketing initiatives grounded in real-time data and analysis, competitive intelligence and benchmarking, segmentation, targeting and positioning to enhance brand performance.
• Drive digital transformation by embedding AI enabled tools, digital workflows, and smarter working practices to increase efficiency, customer engagement, and organisational resilience.
• Strengthen organisational capabilities through the implementation and embedding of structured management frameworks.
• Facilitate expert guidance and regulatory standards to support market entry and mitigate compliance risks to support smooth international market entry.
CAD Technician required for immediate start in a full-time permanent role.
We’re looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our in-house design team. You’ll produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for CNC manufacturing, create technical drawings and product documentation, generate bills of materials, and support new product development. The role includes facilitating product renders and mock-ups, managing technical projects, identifying design and process improvements, and acting as a key technical point of contact across the business.
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am – 6.15pm
Holiday Entitlement: 22.5 days annual leave including Bank Holidays, with compressed hours giving every Friday off. Business-wide shutdown periods apply.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We’re looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our production team. You’ll work on Walking Foot, Flat Bed, Lapping, PLK or Heat Sealer machines, ensuring product quality while meeting production targets. The role involves following instructions accurately and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am – 6.15pm

You’ll maintain and develop our WordPress + WooCommerce website, customise themes, manage plugins, build landing pages, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimise site performance across all devices. You’ll also support marketing campaigns, product launches, and content updates to enhance the online customer experience.
