Vehicles can suffer damage during production, testing and maintenance but with our body protection we can reduce costly repairs and wasted down time.
Manufactured from a choice of materials, depending on the level of protection required, we provide innovative reusable interior and exterior protection solutions. These products are designed and manufactured to provide high quality, tailored branded protection to vehicle wings, sills, bumpers and engine bays.
We have the ability to work direct from 3D models and can design and create prototypes without having to visit site and can cost direct from the models. If you cannot provide CAD 3D models we can also generate our own, using our Pro liner system when visiting site.

3D Cover modellingTo achieve the tailored pattern we can deploy a number of different techniques. Traditionally we would lay cloth on to the vehicle and create the shape as you would a suit. However we can also work with 3D models, either supplied or created by our Pro liner system. Working with CAD elevates the accuracy and the design, eliminating the need for a team to visit the vehicle and can speed up the design process.
Boot ProtectionAs all our body protection is fully tailored we can create boot liners and protectors that can allow engineers whilst building or at service to protect the car form damage. Simply leaning into the boot with a belt on can cause paint work damage which is costly and time consuming.
Branded coversAll the body protection can be branded with your logo, dealership details or part name and model. All printed in heat pressed vinyl in house and available is a wide variety of colours. Simply supply the artwork required or our design team can mock up options for you to approve.
Charger and fuel accessFuel or electric charger access can be added to the cover to allow you to fuel the vehicle without having to remove the cover. This helps eliminates wasted time and makes the cover functional and form fitting.
Direct supply to vehicle manufacturesWe currently manufacture for a wide range of vehicle brands from Lotus, McLaren, Bentley, Jaguar and Land Rover. Supplying direct to the manufacturing supply chain we can support with shorter lead times and small production runs. All the covers are fully tailored so you can be confident you are buying the right cover for your protection needs.
Engine bay protectionThe padded protective covers are secured around the edge of the engine bay with a non slip backing ensuring there is no movement whilst being used. These covers can be designed for when the bonnet is up or down and specific functional requirements can be accommodated. Manufactured in the UK this allows for short production runs and ensure superior production quality.
Interior protectionWe can also fully pattern and tailor covers for the interior of any vehicle. Creating seat, wheel, sill and centre console covers from the same durable fabric used to protect the exterior which can be wiped down and cleaned as required. We can also supply disposable interior protection if required.
Specialist MaterialsAt Specialised Covers we have be working in the textile industry for over 40 years and have a wide range of fabric suppliers and material knowledge. Whether the fabric needs to be FR rated, waterproof or survive extreme temperatures, we can source a supplier to support. Material technology has developed exponentially and fabric can now support a wide range of technical functions so what ever the brief we can source the right fabric.
Tailored Body ProtectionAs all our body protection covers are tailored we can add allowances for lights, fuel/electrical points and vents where required. The cover can be fully customised so that you can even drive in them if required. By cutting and securing around the wheels and using different materials to manage the cars fluctuating temperatures we can protect the full car during track testing and transport.
Delivery & Returns
Standard delivery from order, including manufacture, takes approximately 4 weeks depending on the time of year. Please see each individual product page for seasonal changes. Your estimated dispatch date is shown on the confirmation email sent to you, at the time of order.
Please note the office and factory will be closed from the 20th Dec until the 4th Jan. Any order placed after the 28th Nov will be dispatch in the new year. Lead times will be increased 2 weeks to accommodate the shut down. For urgent enquiries please call our team on 01943 864646.

If your mobile number has been provided, DPD will send an automated text, to you, with an hour delivery slot on your delivery day. This also gives you the option to rearrange your delivery for another day.
7 WORKING DAYS FAST TRACK
This service is available online and through our Sales Office at the additional cost of £50. Delivery constitutes dispatch of your order within 7 working days from the date of order when placed before noon on any working day. Orders after that will be placed on the system the following day and the dispatch date calculated from then. Orders placed on a weekend will be processed on the following Monday so an expected dispatch will be calculated from that date.
Weekend Delivery is available at an additional cost of £25 and constitutes a Saturday or Sunday, following the relevant delivery period. Either day can be specified if required, and requested by phone or in 'additional information' at point of order. If not, the delivery day will be confirmed by DPD.
Please note, if you are purchasing from outside the EU, you may incur additional import duties set for that country. The prices below are for the dispatch on single items, if it is a multiple order please call for a quote.

Here at Specialised Covers we do our best to ensure customers are satisfied with the products they purchase and any faults on our part are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Due to the nature of the products we sell and manufacture at Specialised Covers Ltd we have 2 returns policy dependent on whether the goods are made to order or stock items. RETURNS POLICY - NON TAILORED COVERS / GOODS:
In the unlikely event of you wishing to return an item to us, please ensure that you send items back via Recorded Delivery. This will ensure that you have proof of postage and can also obtain proof of delivery.
14 DAYS RETURN POLICY:
If for whatever reason you do not like an item when it arrives, or it is damaged in transit, you can return it within 14 days of receiving it and we will issue a refund or replacement (provided that no personalisation has been carried out). Note however, that costs of return will not be refunded.
All unwanted goods and items shall be returned to Specialised Covers Ltd, Returns Department, 1 And 2 Riverdale House, Dockfield Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD17 7AD at the purchaser’s own expense. No ‘Postage and Packing’ costs, of any kind, will be included in the refund price of the returned good/s or item/s.
Items that go missing in the post will not be considered to have been returned to Specialised Covers Ltd. Safe delivery of returned goods is the full responsibility of the sender, and any such lost items will need to be claimed for by the sender. Specialised Covers will take no responsibility for items that go missing whilst in transit. For this reason we advise that all returning items are given full postal insurance.
Please note that all items returned should be posted to our main address - as shown above and on our Contact Us page. A full refund or exchange will be given provided that the items have not been damaged or used and returned to us within 14 days of purchase. Please also enclose a copy of your invoice together with details as to why you are returning your order and how you wish to have the matter resolved.
Items with defects of material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at our discretion as covered under the manufacturers warranty.
RETURNS POLICY - TAILORED / BESPOKE COVERS
Please be aware, all good and items that are ‘Handmade To Order', ‘Made to Order’, ‘Tailor Made’, ‘Tailor made to the individual’ ‘Bespoke’ or any other term that indicates that an item has been specifically, or specially, made for the purchaser is hereby known as ‘Bespoke’ and cannot be returned to us for a refund. (Please see ‘Distance Selling Act’ for your statutory rights).
Customers should always check with us before placing an order. If you are unsure about any item you wish to purchase from us, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01943 864 646 with your enquiry.
We reserve the right to offer a refund up to the total full value of the item purchased. Any refunds offered will not include any ‘Postage and Packing’ cost that have been incurred by either party.
Please Contact us before returning any ‘Bespoke’ goods or items.
Should any 'Bespoke' goods, or items, be returned to us without prior agreement in writing (i.e. by email or Letter) it will be the purchasers full responsibility to make arrangements to have any such 'Bespoke' goods, or items, returned to them at their own expense. We will attempt to contact you via email upon receipt of any unsolicited returned ‘Bespoke’ goods, or items, with our intent. Unsolicited returned 'Bespoke' goods, or item, left unclaimed for more than 90-days shall be considered as abandoned by the purchaser and become the property of Specialised Covers.
As the majority of our items are made to order to customers requests and vehicles they are all unique. Whilst every effort will be made to emulate the product shown in the photographs variation is to be expected. This can include but is not limited to:
- Slight colour variations - Slight fit variations - Different style of pipings and seams - Different size and weight
Please note all our goods are fully insured in transit to our customers and should an item get lost or damaged in transit we shall take care of it.
Unfortunately Specialised Covers are unable to offer a repairs policy. Used covers can damage our machinery and our facility has strict rules on cleanliness that a used cover would infringe. In the unlikely event that your cover does come into disrepair, you can contact a member of our team for advice. It may be possible to send fabric to repair your cover. All damage and repair work will be judged on a case by case basis and dealt with as necessary. Please contact our Customer service team to discuss your issues.

SPECIALISED COVERS WILL NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING
1. Any customer personal feeling or subjective reason is not allowed for exchange or refund, based on the fact that the product is not perfectly suited to you or the end result does not meet your expectation.
2. Slight colour difference. We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colours of the apparels shown on our website. However, because the colours you see depend on your monitor and other settings, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display will be exactly accurate.
3. The customer doesn’t like the colour or style, and wishes to change to another colour or style/pattern/design.
4. Customer carelessness of handling or opening the parcel e.g. damaging the item whilst opening with scissor or penknife and dirt due to dirty hands.
Please be careful when opening your parcel.
Frequently Asked Questions
I placed my order for an indoor cover for my Ford Capri 2.8i. From order to actually receiving the cover was about a month. It fits like a second skin and wasn't disappointed. Highly recommend to any classic car owner. I went for black with the red piping and wing mirror option. Great product and great customer service from Gareth. Best £300 I've ever spent.
Excellent customer service. Specialised were a delight to deal with, from the first telephone order to delivery, they kept me informed about the delivery status via regular email updates. I bought their Tow Pro, which is a tailored towing protector, and fits perfectly on my new Buccaneer 8ft wide van. It's very easy to fit and remove by one person and works well on the road. My only slight negative is on the price, I think £199 for the product is a little on the high side, however, I knew the cost before I bought so can't complain
Very pleased with the tailored fit for our 2017 Eriba Familia caravan. The material looks and feels very durable. It is a pity the A frame cover cannot be fixed to the main caravan cover through velcro or similar. Very good customer service, keeping us informed each step of the way.
Had a number of these covers over the last 10-15 years. The current one is slightly more generous all round. Price has gone up but so does everything!

Perfect fit for the buccaneer caravan, fairly straight forward to put on and take off, you have to assist the cover as you drag it over the roof with the poles, it worked for me by working it along a 1m intervals, took about 10mins to put on, less to take off, well done specialised covers a good product which will proove to be good value for money.

Ordered an outdoor cover for a 1999 Mazda MX5. We were kept informed of the progress as the cover was being made and it arrived within the time schedule. Very pleased with the result, it is easy to put on and fits like a glove. The hardest part is getting the straps under the car but tying the bunch of car keys to one end and then throwing them under the car worked!! Very pleased so far with the quality and the service.

Service and cover was great. Only regret is that something has eaten (i think) the wing mirror covers. So i have some holes in it ;-( Also, can't stop the cats walking over it but at least its well protected. Rather the cover than the car getting damaged.
Lovely cover, snug fit and easy to tighten. To begin with we found it a struggle to put over the 'van. Obviously with practise it will become easier. The 'van kept very nice and clean and was protected from the sun.
The old phrase "you get what you pay for" is applicable here. The covers are not cheap, but they are tailor made for your caravan. Ours was easy to fit, and we are 100% happy with ours. It takes less than 5 minutes to fit - an absolute breeze. Would have no hesitation in recommending
