Tow Pro Lite
Tow Pro Lite is our universal towing protector that is predominately made for British manufactured caravans pre 2012. As long as you have two awning channels with openings and you’re no wider 2.5m then you can use our Tow Pro Lite.
Road legal
To ensure you are road legal and can be seen whilst travelling during the day or night, we provide battery powered push-in LED eye lights and reflective strips for you to make sure you’re safe and towing legally. As the cover is a universal fit we cannot accommodate for the caravans own side lights.
NCC member
Our storage and towing covers are recognised and approved by the NCC so you can buy in confidence from an accredited and recognised brand. We have been members for many years working with them since 2014. There are many cheaper alternatives online but they do not offer the same protection and fit as our Universal towing cover.
T-Fit system
Rather than using 3 to 5 pieces like some universal towing protectors, the Tow Pro Lite comes in 1 piece with a unique T-Fit system that allows you to use the awning channels then simply fold in the excess material on either side to fit your caravan. Once the initial fit has been done and the straps adjusted to the correct length fitting become much easier. Our cover also drops down to the A frame protecting the caravan corners which many other universals don’t.

Tow Pro stone chip protection
One of the major benefit of the towing cover is that it will give you protection against stone chips on both your paint work and windows. It is inevitable that when driving on the roads that grit and stones will be flicked up on to the front of your caravan
Minimise depreciation
Protecting the most vulnerable part of your caravan makes sense to ensure it keeps looking good on site but it also makes sense for when you want to part exchange or sell your caravan. UK Dealerships tell us that those caravans who have no stone chips or markings hold their value much better than those that require repair or look uncared for.
Breathable storage bag
Your Tow Pro Lite will come in its own breathable storage bag. Fold it up like you would a map and, even if it is damp, the cover will breathe when the dampness turns to vapor whilst in the bag.
Only available direct from Specialised Covers
The universal Tow Pro Lite is now only available direct from Specialised Covers and manufactures in our Vintex fabric. Your local caravan dealerships are now selling an alternative universal cover the Tow Pro Universal this cover is only available direct from from your local dealer.
Non-Abrasive Material
The Tow Pro lite has a soft backing to ensure your caravan is not scratched when you’re towing. Please ensure that the front is clean of dirt and grit before fitting the Towing Protector. The covers weigh 3.5kg when packed in its storage bags.
Available in two colours
The Tow Pro Lite is available in full black or full grey. simply Select your colour during the configuration process and we will manufacture the cover to your order. Both designs come with the Specialised covers logo as standard in white.
Key features
The Tow Pro Lite has a set width that you then adjust on your first fitting by folding the excess material under at the sides and adjusting the straps. There is also a strap that feeds around the A Frame and a strap for each steady. At the front of the cover there is a spare female buckle, this is there to allow different securing position dependent on the position of your caravans steadies. If you don’t need it simply leave it loose on the cover or remove it if preferred.
Please note that the Tow Pro Lite should not be used as a storage cover. The Tow Pro Lite should always be fitted to a clean van, before each journey.
Vintex Fabric
The fabric we use is waterproof and soft backed, designed to withstand small stone chips and dirt from impacting on your caravan. The cover is made in the standard black and grey colours to ensure it looks good on your caravan during transit.
Tow Pro Lights
The Tow Pro Lite still ensures that you are safe whilst on the road. We include 2 removable battery powered lights which sit into clear plastic holders so that you still have lighting on the front of your caravan.

Our Tow Pro Lite is the only universal towing cover we manufacture, we would always recommend going for a tailored fit covers as this will offer the best level of protection for your caravan. However if we don’t have a pattern for your caravan or you feel you will be changing your caravan on a regular basis then the Tow Pro Lite is a great choice. The cover can be adapted to fit on a huge number of caravans giving you the flexibility and you will not need to buy a new tailored towing cover everything you change your caravan.
No, the cover has not been designed to be left on for storage purposes. Water and dirt can quite easily travel down the back of the cover and if left on over time could damage the front of your caravan.
The Tow Pro Lite and the Tow Pro Universal are the only towing cover in the range that are universal fit. They are designed to accommodate 90% of caravans that have 2 awning channels and are no wider that 2.5m. The Tow Pro, Tow Pro +, Tow pro Infinity, Tow Pro Elite and Tow Pro Infinity Elite are all manufactured to fit your make and model of caravan.
Our Tow Pro Lite, Tow Pro, Tow Pro + and Tow Pro Infinity weigh between 3.5kg and 5.5kg each, the Elite and Infinity Elite weigh 6kg and 8.5 kg respectively, including the bag. Variations in weight are due to the different sizes and dimensions of vans. Customers often cannot believe how light they are!
Either though the Tow pro Lite is a universal product due to the time and additional parts to manufacture it makes it the same cost as the tailored Tow Pro.
