Audi have launched the prices for their latest edition to the ‘Q’ family. The Audi Q3 has been eagerly anticipated and is a fairly obvious, although much better looking response to BMW’s X1.

£24,560 will get you a 138bhp 2.0TDI which Audi claims will do 54.3mpg. Of course you can upgrade to the Quattro for more grip and the S tronic for a considerable power increase (up to 208bhp).

What really grabbed our attention was the unusually generous specifications list. As standard the Q3 will be equipped with rear parking sensors, climate control, 17” alloy wheels and iPod input. There’s also a manually retractable 6.3 colour display for…we’re not quite sure, Audi don’t make it clear from their press release but you can make the assumption that it acts as an interface for the audio system and will certainly facilitate Sat Nav; for which you will pay extra.

The price is comparative to the BMW X1 but the standard spec isn’t as fruitful. Not only is the Q3 a much better looking machine, its better value for money, although if you want to be, ‘down with the kids’ you might want to shell out for the LED running lights and xenon headlamps.

Specialised Covers are the official car cover supplier to Audi worldwide. We are ready to tailor both indoor and outdoor car covers for the first Q3 owners. Audi’s website doesn’t allow you do put your name down just yet, but expect the first deliveries of the Q3 in November this year.
