To maintain a consistent aesthetic across our product range our towing cover design has been updated so you may now find on our newer towing covers the material has changed to our new Vintex, similar to our Elite range without the foam padding.

The Tow Pro+ is a tailored towing protector, like the Tow Pro but with added features that allow you more flexibility and choice. The Tow Pro + comes with Window Access, Grab Handle and Locker box access, as standard. The cover is also available in 2 colours, black, grey and can be customised with your own logos.

As standard the cover will come with a Specialised Covers logo but if you would like something unique or the manufacturers logo than these can be selected from the drop downs. A custom logo will be a full colour visual/logo up to 40cm wide and can include company logos, images, flags or quotes, it’s entirely up to you. If you select the custom logo please add any notes in the additional note section and email our CS team on info@specialisedcovers.com with your logo and order number.

The Tow Pro + weighs approximately 1.9kg when packed in its storage bag.

Tailored Tow Pro's covers are available for all 2012 caravan onwards; for any caravans pre 2012 there is our universal Tow Pro Lite which is available from here.

Please note that the Tow Pro + should not be used as a storage cover and should always be fitted to a clean van, before each journey.

The Tow Pro + is available in black and grey.

Tow Pro + Locker Box Access
With the Tow Pro + we have designed zip access so you can get into your locker box without having to take the cover off the caravan. This feature is especially handy for those travelling outside the UK for a possible customs inspection.
Matching A frame + Cover
To complete the look why not add an A frame + cover in either black or dark grey to give the full protection to your caravan on site.
Tow Pro + Easy Grab System
The easy grab system allows access to your grab handles with the cover still in situ. Just simply unzip the access points sewn into the cover and grab the handle, move the caravan to hitch it up and away you go!
Towing protectors non-abrasive material
The Tow Pro & Tow Pro + have a soft backing to ensure your caravan is not scratched when you’re towing. Please ensure that the front is clean of dirt and grit before fitting the Towing Protector. Both cover weight 1.9kg when packed in their storage bags.
Quick Fit Clips
Our Quick Fit Clip system allows you to hook the cover to the valance of the caravan with elasticated clips which keeps the lower part of the Tow Pro + firmly in place and stops exhaust fumes from getting between the cover and the caravan.
Tow Pro + Choice of colours
Having the Tow Pro + allows you to create a more bespoke cover to you by choosing one of 2 colours for the main panel of your Tow Pro +. Some choose to have the entire cover in one colour, or mix and match colours with the centre panel and outer panels.
Tow Pro + Window Access
As well as access to your locker box and grab handles, the Tow Pro + now allows you to drop down the top half so you can enjoy your caravan when you stop on long journeys or overnight without having to take the whole cover off.
Tow Pro Stone Chip Protection
One of the major benefit of the towing cover is that it will give you protection against stone chips on both your paint work and windows. It is inevitable that when driving on the roads that grit and stones will be flicked up on to the front of your caravan
Towing cover Clear “Eyes”
The Tow Pro range utilises the original caravan lights by placing clear plastic “eyes” into the cover. This ensures that you are road legal and safe and also designed to look the part in the eye shape that we have created, as opposed to an odd looking box!

Every Tow pro + and Elite we make is tailored to your caravan, that means that the covers will look different from each other. We try to represent as many as possible online but please note the aesthetic of the cover will be determined by its shape.

Delivery

Standard delivery from order, including manufacture, takes approximately 4 weeks depending on the time of year. Please see each individual product page for seasonal changes. Your estimated dispatch date is shown on the confirmation email sent to you, at the time of order.

Please be aware if your cover is being shipped to outside the UK you will be responsible for paying the customs duty yourself via the courier. Your courier will confirm the value with you once the cover has been received please consider this before placing your order.

For reference our Outdoor covers manufactured from a non woven fabric is covered by the commodity code 6307909820 which is subject to a 6% Tax plus the country of entries VAT %. Our Indoor covers manufactured from woven textiles is covered by commodity code 6307901000 which is subject to a 12% Tax plus the country of entries VAT %

If your mobile number has been provided, the courier will send an automated text, to you, with an hour delivery slot on your delivery day. This also gives you the option to rearrange your delivery for another day.

5 WORKING DAYS FAST TRACK

This service is available online and through our Sales Office at the additional cost of £75. Delivery constitutes dispatch of your order within 5 working days from the date of order when placed before noon on any working day. Orders after that will be placed on the system the following day and the dispatch date calculated from then. Orders placed on a weekend will be processed on the following Monday so an expected dispatch will be calculated from that date.

WEEKEND DELIVERY

Weekend Delivery is available at an additional cost of £25 and constitutes a Saturday or Sunday, following the relevant delivery period. Either day can be specified if required, and requested by phone or in 'additional information' at point of order. If not, the delivery day will be confirmed by the courier.

Returns Policy

Here at Specialised Covers we do our best to ensure customers are satisfied with the products they purchase and any faults on our part are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Due to the nature of the products we sell and manufacture at Specialised Covers Ltd we have 2 returns policy dependent on whether the goods are made to order or stock items. RETURNS POLICY - NON TAILORED COVERS / GOODS:

14 DAYS RETURN POLICY:

In the unlikely event of you wishing to return an item to us, please ensure that you send items back via Recorded Delivery. This will ensure that you have proof of postage and can also obtain proof of delivery.

If for whatever reason you do not like an item when it arrives, or it is damaged in transit, you can return it within 14 days of receiving it and we will issue a refund or replacement (provided that no personalisation has been carried out). Note however, that costs of return will not be refunded.

All unwanted goods and items shall be returned to Specialised Covers Ltd, Returns Department, Riverdale House, Dockfield Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD17 7AD at the purchaser’s own expense. No ‘Postage and Packing’ costs, of any kind, will be included in the refund price of the returned good/s or item/s.

Items that go missing in the post will not be considered to have been returned to Specialised Covers Ltd. Safe delivery of returned goods is the full responsibility of the sender, and any such lost items will need to be claimed for by the sender. Specialised Covers will take no responsibility for items that go missing whilst in transit. For this reason we advise that all returning items are given full postal insurance.

Please note that all items returned should be posted to our main address - as shown above and on our Contact Us page. A full refund or exchange will be given provided that the items have not been damaged or used and returned to us within 14 days of purchase. Please also enclose a copy of your invoice together with details as to why you are returning your order and how you wish to have the matter resolved.

Items with defects of material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at our discretion as covered under the manufacturers warranty.

RETURNS POLICY - TAILORED / BESPOKE COVERS

Please be aware, all good and items that are ‘Handmade To Order', ‘Made to Order’, ‘Tailor Made’, ‘Tailor made to the individual’ ‘Bespoke’ or any other term that indicates that an item has been specifically, or specially, made for the purchaser is hereby known as ‘Bespoke’ and cannot be returned to us for a refund. (Please see ‘Distance Selling Act’ for your statutory rights).

Customers should always check with us before placing an order. If you are unsure about any item you wish to purchase from us, please email info@specialisedcovers.com or phone 01943 864 646 with your enquiry.

We reserve the right to offer a refund up to the total full value of the item purchased. Any refunds offered will not include any ‘Postage and Packing’ cost that have been incurred by either party.

Please Contact us before returning any ‘Bespoke’ goods or items.

Should any 'Bespoke' goods, or items, be returned to us without prior agreement in writing (i.e. by email or Letter) it will be the purchasers full responsibility to make arrangements to have any such 'Bespoke' goods, or items, returned to them at their own expense. We will attempt to contact you via email upon receipt of any unsolicited returned ‘Bespoke’ goods, or items, with our intent. Unsolicited returned 'Bespoke' goods, or item, left unclaimed for more than 90-days shall be considered as abandoned by the purchaser and become the property of Specialised Covers.

As the majority of our items are made to order to customers requests and vehicles they are all unique. Whilst every effort will be made to emulate the product shown in the photographs variation is to be expected. This can include but is not limited to:

- Slight colour variations - Slight fit variations - Different style of pipings and seams - Different size and weight

Please note all our goods are fully insured in transit to our customers and should an item get lost or damaged in transit we shall take care of it.

Repairs Policy

Unfortunately Specialised Covers are unable to offer a repairs policy. Used covers can damage our machinery and our facility has strict rules on cleanliness that a used cover would infringe. In the unlikely event that your cover does come into disrepair, you can contact a member of our team for advice. It may be possible to send fabric to repair your cover. All damage and repair work will be judged on a case by case basis and dealt with as necessary. Please contact our Customer service team to discuss your issues.

SPECIALISED COVERS WILL NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING

1. Any customer personal feeling or subjective reason is not allowed for exchange or refund, based on the fact that the product is not perfectly suited to you or the end result does not meet your expectation.

2. Slight colour difference. We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colours of the apparels shown on our website. However, because the colours you see depend on your monitor and other settings, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display will be exactly accurate.

3. The customer doesn’t like the colour or style, and wishes to change to another colour or style/pattern/design.

4. Customer carelessness of handling or opening the parcel e.g. damaging the item whilst opening with scissor or penknife and dirt due to dirty hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will the heat effect my cover ?

Due to increasing temperatures in the UK we can no longer guarantee the fabrics performance if left on in temperatures exceeding 25 degrees celsius. The ambient air temperature is not reflected in the cover temperature as these will be significantly higher if left in direct sunlight and can be almost double that of the air temperature. With towing covers the movement of the air over the caravan when in transit will help to regulate the temperature and will be fit for purpose when used outside the UK. The issue may arise when left on for storage which the towing covers are not designed for. Therefore please note covers should be removed to prevent damage to the cover fabric which will reduce the covers life span if the temperatures are above 25 degrees celsius . Higher UV stable fabrics are available on request and incur additional costs per cover. If a cover has been left out in extreme temperatures it will not be covered under its warranty and can be tested to confirm heat damage has occurred.

How much do towing protectors weigh?

Our Tow Pro Lite, Tow Pro and Tow Pro + weigh between 1kg and 2kg each, including the bag. Variations in weight are due to the different sizes and dimensions of vans. Customers often cannot believe how light they are!

What is the main difference between the Tow Pro and the Tow Pro +?

The Tow Pro is the first in the tailored range and comes in one black and grey swoosh style and has no access points. The Tow Pro + allows you to customise you cover with a number of different options. These include a colour option, adding grab handle and locker box access. The two covers are made from the same material and fit to the caravan in the same way.

Why do I need a towing cover?

There are numerous reasons and benefits to having a towing cover. The main ones are that it protects both your paintwork and windows from cracks and chips, this in turn maintains your caravans value and means you are not having to deal with repairs. You will also arrive at you destination with a clean caravan so no need to start cleaning your caravan as soon as you arrive trying to remove mud and bugs.

What are the Tow Pro covers made of?

The majority of the cover is made from our Stormshield + fabric which we use for our outdoor car covers. It is waterproof and breathable with a fleecy backing. The Elite cover is a unique material which is a 5mm foam with vinyl finish, this give you the ultimate in protection and is the same material we use for driving covers for Ferrari, Aston Martin and Bentley.

My caravan doesn't have a valance/natural stoppers at the bottom of the awning channels. Will the towing protector just slide out?

Don't worry. Where a caravan does not have natural stoppers, you will find that your Tow Pro, Tow Pro + or Tow Pro Elite will come with additional metal stoppers that can be fixed into either awning channel. We have already taken into account which caravans require these, so they will be provided with your cover.

Which Tow Pro is a universal fit and which are tailored to my caravan?

The Tow Pro Lite is the only towing cover in the range that is a universal fit. It is designed to accommodate 90% of caravans that have 2 awning channels and are no wider that 2.5m. The Tow Pro, Tow Pro + and Tow Pro Elite are all manufactured to fit your make and model of caravan.

What is the average delivery time on Tow Pros?

Depending on the time of year, we are approximately 4 weeks on delivery of the tailored Tow Pros. This can fluctuate between 3-6 weeks depending on demand. This is due to the nature of the product design and our commitment to quality,

How do the Tow Pros secure to the caravan?

All four of the Tow Pro range use the awning channel as the main point to secure too. Unfortunately, if your caravan has only one awning channel there currently is not a Tow Pro that is suitable for your caravan. The covers are held in place by their own tension and secured in various places depending on the model of Tow Pro.

How far does the cover come up the front of the caravan?

The Tow Pro will cover 90% of the front of your caravan finishing under the gutter line and just above the main front window.

Does the cover come up over my panoramic window?

No, the cover will stop just above the main window

Will my caravan lights be visible?

On the tailored Tow Pros, yes. We have made an allowance for the caravans running lights by inserting perspex windows into the covers. However any additional lights for example LED grab handles will not be visible as they are purely there for decorative purpose. On the Tow Pro Lite we have built in perspex holders that take our push bottom LED lights.

Can I leave my Tow Pro on for storage?

No, the cover has not been designed to be left on for storage purposes. Water and dirt can quite easily travel down the back of the cover and if left on over time could damage the front of your caravan.

Will the cover create additional drag when towing?

We do not believe that the cover will cause any additional drag as it is laid smooth against the body work of the caravan. However we have no technical data or testing to support this claim either way.

How easy are the Tow Pros to fit?

The tailored Tow Pros can take under a minute as they simply slide up the awning channels and are secured in seconds. This was a very conscious part of the design as we were aware that customers ease and speed of fitting was very high up the priority list, when choosing the product. There is also a full height zip on the off side of the cover which allows it to be fitted by one person. The Tow Pro Lite does take longer to fit especially on the first fitting as the cover does require adjusting to the specific caravan it͛s on. Subsequent fitting are a lot quicker and can be done within 5 minutes.

Does the front of the caravan need to be clean before fitting the cover?

Yes, as any grit or dirt that is between the cover and the caravan can cause abrasions with movement. The front of the caravan can be wet when fitting but not dirty.
